Charles L. (Lee) Archer, President:Founder of Associated Business Products, which he sold to IKON Office Solutions, and became a senior executive of IKON as the Rocky Mountain District President from 1990 to 1998. Founded Copiers Now in 1999, which was a Venture Capital Funded enterprise, sold the Technology developed in this enterprise in 2002. Founded Associated Payroll Systems in 2002 & sold this enterprise in 2005. From 2005 to 2006 worked as an Executive in Residence for the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah. In 2006, co- purchased controlling interest in VFC, a specialty construction business engaged in the Lightning Protection & Grounding Business doing business in 26 States, in 2010 sold his interest in this company. In August of 2011 co-purchased controlling interest in Salt Lake Legal LLC. Mr. Archer is a past Board Chairman for Canon USA’s National Dealer Advisory Board, he has also served as Board chairman for Children’s Aid Society of Utah & Delta Sigma Foundation, & a member of the YMCA Utah board. He served his country as an Army Officer in the Armor Branch for 13 years. Mr. Archer received his B.S. & MBA from the University of Utah.
James C. Beck, Vice President Sales and Marketing:Jim was a former owner and Vice President of Sales for Associated Business Products, which was acquired by IKON Office Solutions in 1988. He served as Vice President of Sales for the Rocky Mountain District of IKON from 1990-1999. In 2000 he co-founded Automated Business Products, which was acquired by Ricoh Corporation in May of 2008. Mr. Beck presided over the California Oakland mission of the LDS Church from 2006-2009. Mr. Beck is a partner in Archer Beck, LLC, a commercial property management company. He founded Beck Group Enterprises in 2009. He has served in many church positions and has been active on the Boards and committees of the Boy Scouts of America, Rotary International, the Utah Symphony, the Deseret Foundation, the American Diabetes Association, the South Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce & is an honorary Colonel, South Salt Lake City Police. Mr. Beck studied at Brigham Young University and the University of Utah.
Todd Stevens, Vice President Finance & Administration:Prior to joining Salt Lake Legal, Mr. Stevens was Founder and Managing Director of Wasatch Venture Fund, now EPIC Ventures from 1993 to 2009. Mr. Stevens was also Manager of the Zions Bank Venture Capital Department from 1993 to 2009. During the past 16 years, Mr. Stevens raised six venture funds focused on early stage technology companies with commitments totaling over $250 million. Prior to founding Wasatch Venture Fund, Mr. Stevens was a development and finance executive in the independent power/ cogeneration industry from 1988 to 1991. He assisted in developing over 300 MW of cogeneration and renewable energy projects including wind, hydro, biomass and geothermal power plants and has financed over $400 million in energy projects. He also worked as a real estate executive in Chicago with Homart Development from 1985 to 1988. Mr. Stevens received his undergraduate degree from the University of Utah, cum laude, in Accounting and Management and received his Master of Business Administration from Harvard Graduate School of Business.
West Zollinger, Vice President Electronic Discovery, eDiscovery & Forensics:West is an original co-founder of Salt Lake Legal and for the past ten years he has participated in sales, management, and business development. He is a certified trainer for both Summation and Concordance. In 2011 when Salt Lake Legal was acquired, stayed with the company as an owner and is developing the electronic discovery part of our business.
Martin Eyre, Senior Account Executive:Martin joined Salt Lake Legal in 1997 when it was Alexander’s Legal Copy. He was made an account executive in 1999. Through ‘sweat equity’, he acquired ownership in Salt Lake Legal and in 2004 was appointed general manager. Because of Martins people skills and professionalism with our client base he was appointed as a senior account executive in 2011. He has vast experience in E-Discovery, Online Review, Trial Exhibits, Database services and Managed services.
Shane Bawden, Senior Account Executive:Nine years ago Shane began his career with Salt Lake Legal. In 2005 he was appointed as a sales executive. In 2008 Shane was promoted to Senior Account Executive. Shane is highly respected by our legal client base for his knowledge in topics such as E-discovery, Online Review, Document Production, Trial Exhibits, Database services, and Managed services. Shane’s superior service and responsiveness has become a performance benchmark for all Salt Lake Legal team members.
Corey Bentley, IT Manager:Eleven years with Salt Lake Legal. Starting at Digital Imaging Manager then moving into his role as IT Manager. Corey has a degree in Computer Science and is certified in the Discover-E process as well as knowledgeable in many of the industry used programs and databases. Corey also oversees the redundancy and operation of the many computers and servers used in daily operations.
Lane Perkins, Support Manager:Ten years in the industry and 7 years with Salt Lake Legal. Lane has always worked in the Digital department along with his degree in Electrical Engineering. Lane is also educated in many industry used programs necessary to ensure Salt Lake Legal’s ability to handle the customer’s needs. As well as being certified in the Discover-E process Lane oversees the operation and support of Salt Lake Legal’s Online Document Review platform.
Manny Gomez, Scanning and Digital Imaging Manager:Fourteen years with Salt Lake Legal. Manny started in Document Production and worked his way up to Document Production Manager, Later to move into the Digital department where he is now the Scanning and Digital Imaging Manager. Manny has the production experience to prioritize and delegate incoming jobs as well as has an implemented system to verify outgoing jobs accuracy and quality to ensure customer satisfaction.
Wendy Jones, Document Production Manager:Eight years of management experience and 2 years with Salt Lake Legal, Wendy has the skills and ability to organize and prioritize the customer’s production jobs, as well as the overseeing of the quality assurance department that ensures we maintain our high quality standards a priority.
